Most agencies are still using paper tickets, but don’t worry, this will end in May of this year, as IATA has determined that no paper ticket will be issued after that date.
I think that the function to issue paper tickets or to “print” an e-tkt that has already been issued will remain though, but only for airlines ticket offices.
